For over seven decades, the Herman Volunteer Fire Company (Butler County, PA) has been proudly protecting lives, property, and our surrounding community.

As an all-volunteer organization, our members stand ready 24/7 to answer the call, driven by self-reliance, neighborly service, and deep local pride.

Our Mission

The object of this organization shall be to extinguish fires, protect life and property, advance civil and industrial activities, and to promote social and physical welfare of the membership.

Our Roots & Early History

Officially incorporated on August 20, 1949, as a Corporation of the First Class in Butler County, Pennsylvania, Herman VFC was founded by local residents committed to protecting their neighbors.

Operating in a State-of-the-Art Facility in Butler County, Pennsylvania

Our volunteers operate medical and fire services from our modern 13,885-square-foot, state-of-the-art firehouse.

Supported by Our Community

Without tax funding, community support is vital. Events like our Monthly Raffles, Gun Bash, Spring Fling, and Toy Bash directly fund our operations.

This support recently allowed us to purchase our first new pumper engine in 30 years, greatly improving scene safety and emergency response. We are deeply grateful to the residents and local businesses who keep our volunteers equipped and prepared.
